2023 CSR Excellence in Education Award

On 17th February, 2023, Mowana Copper Mine Limited  was recognised with Excellence in Education Award at the 4th CSR and Responsible Business Awards Ceremony held in Gaborone under the auspices of the CSR Network Botswana.The  award was for ‘Excellence in Education’, focusing on the company’s School Support Programme.The network is comprised of 52 Botswanan companies, which include Mowana Copper Mine Limited, Mopani Copper Mines, Barrick Lumwana, First Quantum Minerals, Konkola Copper Mines among others.

Labour Day Award- 2024

on 1st May, 2024 Mowana Copper Mine Limited scooped two awards at the Labour Day commemoration held at Konkola Stadium.
The Mining firm was awarded as the best Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and most Supportive Company to host the event by the Government.

2019 CSR AWARD

Conferred on Mowana on 29^th November, 2019 by the Corporate Social Responsibility Network Botswana at the Inaugural Botswana National Responsible Business and CSR Awards.

The award is in recognition of Mowana’s implementation of CSR initiatives that have impacted positively on communities living around the mine.Mowana’s CSR Initiatives are anchored on four pillars namely: Health, Education, Agriculture and Infrastructure.

BUSINESS LEADER IN CORPORATE ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP - 2018

Conferred on Mowana on 30^th December, 2018 by the Botswana Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ZCCI) for good environmental stewardship.

Mowana received the award after fulfilling the criteria that considered among other factors environmental compliance, sustainability and environmental stewardship.
